“Akelapun” means “loneliness,” “solitariness,” or “alienation.” It’s a Hindi word, usually transliterated “akelapan,” but I write “akelapun,” because, you know, pun.

Akelapun is a blog about Indian American issues.

But I started it partly because I think Indian American discourse (blogular and otherwise!) can be pretty insular.

So I will discuss stuff Indian Americans should and do care about, but stuff that isn’t usually tagged as an “Indian American issue.”

After all, we, too, are large and contain multitudes!

OK, that’s all. Enjoy the blog, read, comment, and share. Click “Follow” to have updates delivered to your inbox.
